Ensuite rooms
The Quarters 2 modern ensuite rooms offer luxury and privacy. They feature underfloor heating, luxury linen, robes, unlimited wifi, ensuite bathrooms and sliding doors opening out to the lawn and mountain vista.
Both rooms are configurable as either super king or two single beds - after selecting one of our ensuite rooms in the book now process, add on twin share configuration in extras if you require 2 single beds.

Luxury Shared facilities rooms
Experience total comfort in one of our 8 spacious shared facilities rooms, each accessing 4 private, individually lockable bathrooms. Each room features underfloor heating, luxury linen, robes, unlimited wifi and sliding doors opening out to lawn and mountain vistas. All rooms are configurable as either super king or two single beds - after selecting one of our luxury shared facilities rooms in the book now process, add on twin share configuration in 'extras'.
Each bathroom is equipped with underfloor heating, a high pressure shower, toilet, vanity, towels, face cloths, cotton buds and a hair dryer, providing all the essentials for a relaxing stay.

The Quarters 2 bedroom apartment sleeps up to 4 guests in 2 rooms, each with a private ensuite bathroom. It also features a kitchenette for self catering and a living space with a comfortable lounge suit and a smart T.V.
Unlimited wifi is available.
Both the bedrooms and living space open out to lawn, outdoor seating and Mountain vistas. The 2 bedroom apartment comes standard with a super king bed in each room. If you require 2 single beds, please leave this information in your “special request” notes at check out.

Exclusive Hire
The Quarters boasts a total of 10 spacious rooms set either side of the central grand lounge and open kitchen. A mudroom at the entrance with underfloor heating and coat hooks makes a great space to dry any outdoor footwear and clothing after a day's hiking adventure.
The southern wing with 8 bedrooms shares 4 individually lockable bathrooms with underfloor heating, a high pressure shower, toilet, vanity, towels, face cloths, cotton buds and a hair dryer.
The northern wing has 2 ensuite bedrooms adjacent to an additional intimate living room and kitchenette.
The central dining and open kitchen seats up to 20 guests for meals. The kitchen is a large commercial kitchen with a butlers pantry and includes dry goods and freezer essentials.
Entertainment includes 2 flat screen T.V’s with Netflix, board and lawn games, use of the farm's hiking trails and 2 x
wood fired hot tubs.

4WD FARM TOUR AND LUNCH
Take a tour of Middlehurst Station in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Guided by a family member, you will learn about the area and the High Country way of life. Rich in history, regenerative farming practices, and picturesque backdrops, this tour is like no other. Stop for a gourmet lunch at Middlehursts iconic musterer's hut, and keep an eye out for wildlife grazing on the mountains.

RURAL EXPERIENCE
Middlehurst Station supplies fine merino wool to national and international clothing brands such as Ice Breaker and Allbirds. On this tour you will see inside the Station Woolshed and get an understanding of our sheep shearing operations. Merino fleece will be on display to feel, and a shepherd with their team of dogs will give a demonstration of their expertise.

Hire a “Trek” mountain e-bike to get a little further with your time. Wind your way along the Middlehurst farm tracks or cycle to the start of Molesworth Station and explore the historic cob cottage. In this steep and rugged countryside a little extra help is always appreciated...

WOOD FIRED HOT TUB
A natural spring at the base of Mt Lookout provides gravity fed water to wood fired hot tubs only meters from The Quarters accommodation. Positioned separately and screened, they allow privacy and total relaxation for our guests to enjoy soaking in pure mountain mineral water. Cost includes lighting and stocking ensuring the tub is hot and ready for your arrival.

Join us for an engaging farm-to-table cooking class at Middlehurst Station, where you'll experience the true essence of local cuisine. How long is the drive to Middlehurst?

Allow 3 hours from Hanmer Springs via Jacks Pass - do not take Jollies Pass! It is unmaintained and could be dangerous.
And 2 hours from Blenheim (google maps often advises 5 hours and this is not true. We are working hard to get this changed).
Can I self cater?

Due to the unique nature of premises, the 2 bedroom apartment is the only accommodation available for self catering. Unless you are booking the 2 bedroom apartment, then selecting a cuisine package is essential. There are no nearby cafes or restaurants.
Is there phone reception?

There is no reception once you leave Hanmer Springs and State Highway 1. We do however have high speed fibre internet.
Can I request a budget cuisine package?

No sorry. Our packages have been crafted and priced accordingly. The Quarters private Chef is highly qualified with 10 years culinary experience. We guarantee a gastronomical experience that will do more than just satisfy your taste buds. Menus include premium beef and lamb from Middlehurst Station, herbs and vegetables from the farm's greenhouse and fresh eggs collected daily.
Can I park my caravan or pitch a tent?

No sorry. Neighboring Molesworth Station has 2 campgrounds.
Can I choose to do an activity once I get to Middlehurst?

Yes you can. Availability may be limited but we will do our absolute best to accommodate your requests. You may even think of an
activity not listed. We would love to hear from you.
Are we child friendly?

Absolutely! The playground here is 16,500 hectares! We also have a box of lawn and board games - theres something for everyone.

Your Journey to Middlehurst Station is part of the experience.
Travel by road along the iconic Molesworth Muster trail from Hanmer Springs between 1st October and Easter Weekend, or the Awatere Valley Road from Seddon all year round.
If driving from Hanmer springs, always take Jack's pass! Allow 3 hours.
From Seddon, allow 2 hours.
Middlehurst Station is also easily accessible by helicopter and plane. Enquire now for private transfers from Wellington, Blenheim, Nelson, Kaikōura or Christchurch.
